SOFA Gives Workshop at NOAA

Online, November 20, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA) Members, Aaron Rabin and Jeff Rotman will give workshops at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Miami, Florida.
SOFA member, Aaron Rabin, was first linked to NOAA through a client of his. Rabin has provided financial planning for over 5 years to the Melo family in FL. Following SOFA principles, Rabin discussed his affiliation with SOFA to Mr. Melo who personally nominated him to connect with NOAA. Mr. Melo stressed that Aaron's financial planning had always been through education first, and that it would be a great match between SOFA and Rabin and NOAA employees.
Following, Rabin met with Ms. Erica Rule of NOAA who was quite receptive of the program and felt that NOAA employees could strongly benefit from free financial literacy workshops. She requested that Rabin would speak for NOAA's Annual Health Fair on November 12.
New to SOFA, Rabin requested the assistance of longtime SOFA member, Jeff Rotman, who was delighted to partner up for this fantastic event. Rabin was excited to have the support of a Financial Planning Author and seasoned SOFA veteran like Jeff!
Rabin and Rotman will conduct 3 SOFA workshops on November 12, Getting Fiscally Fit, I.D. Theft & Strategies for a Sustainable Income in Retirement. The topics were chosen in part due to the government shut down and the financial stress employees struggle with. ID theft was chosen due to the challenges in minding your ID/credit in today's fast paced technological world.
NOAA, like other companies, groups, and organizations nationwide, is planning a rotation of seminars to help keep their employees financially literate. Financial awareness is an extremely crucial factor in today's economy and society and something SOFA strives to shed light on daily.
