Thrive Events Recruits for Internship Program

The managers at Thrive Events are currently scouting for college students and recent graduates to apply for the company's internship program. They shared why this is an excellent opportunity for those interested in sales and marketing.

“One of the biggest challenges new college graduates face is applying for positions without experience,” explained Thrive Events’ president. “Internships fill that gap.”

She explained that the Thrive Events internship program is hands-on. “This is not one of those programs in which interns only observe or run errands,” she noted. “We offer actual opportunities to apply the skills they’ve learned in a classroom setting to a business setting.”

"We're looking for positive, motivated college graduates and students who work well with others,"

Interns are trained and guided by the firm’s seasoned veterans. “Our experts work closely with them to ensure they understand the nature of interactive marketing,” She added. “There is a lot of emphasis on events and promotions. We also offer cross-training in other areas as well. Our interns learn the process beginning with market analysis through to promotion execution.”

“We’re looking for positive, motivated college graduates and students who work well with others,” she explained. “Teamwork and collaboration are critical in our company and we seek interns who can uphold those values as well. A growth mindset is also important because they’ll learn and practice new skills throughout the duration of the program. Comfort zones can be stretched in the process, but you’ll gain terrific insights.” she also added that interns may have opportunities to travel.

Thrive Events Managers Describe Benefits of Internships

She advocates internships for a number of reasons. “There’s no better way to learn about the business world than to roll up your sleeves and experience it firsthand,” she said. “Internships provide that opportunity to learn about your field and polish your skills. Not only do you have something to add to your résumé, but you’ll have a good idea of whether you want to pursue a particular career.”

“There are also many networking opportunities that emerge from internships,”she explained. “You’ll meet industry leaders from whom you can learn so much.”

She advises that to gain the most from their internship, interns should focus on goal setting. “If you’re in the right program, you should be able to discuss your expectations and objectives with your supervisor,” she said. “You want to leave feeling confident that you’ve accomplished what you set out to learn and more. In addition, you should be able to gain specific feedback from your supervisor to help you attain your goals and improve your performance.”

“We’re always excited when new interns join our program because our team at Thrive Events loves sharing knowledge,” she concluded. “It’s a great opportunity for anyone who is enthusiastic and ambitious.”
