Wilbur Smith Attorneys at Law Makes $100,000 Donation to Captains for Clean Water
Fort Myers, FL, May 10, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Wilbur Smith Managing Partner Sawyer C. Smith, on behalf of Wilbur Smith, donated $100,000 to Captains for Clean Water, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that advocates for healthy marine ecosystems in Florida by improving water quality.
CCW was formed in the Spring of 2016 when a group of fishing guides from Fort Myers, Fla., decided that enough was enough with Florida’s poor water management practices. They made the decision that it was time to stand up and protect their livelihood and the way of life for future generations.
Managing partner Sawyer C. Smith said:
“While the list of do-nothing politicians attempting to take credit for moving the needle of clean water progress continues to grow, there is a truly organic and authentic group working with Florida’s Leadership and within our community to save Florida: Captains for Clean Water. We stand with Captains Chris Wittman, Daniel Andrews and all the supporters of Captains for Clean Water. Thanks, y’all. LET THE BIG DOG EAT!”
Special appreciation for their leadership and dedication to the passage of SB10 is extended to Senate Appropriation Chairman Latvala, Senate President Negron, Senator Bradley, and House of Representatives Speaker Corcoran.
At Wilbur Smith, our enthusiasm for the law and dedication to our clients is marrow deep. We are motivated by the needs of our clients and are driven by an indefatigable commitment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
