Westside Christian Academy of Detroit Welcomes GM's Shanell Weathespoon to Their Master Class Series
Shanell Weatherspoon, Talent Acquisition Manager, Global Propulsion Systems for General Motors addressed the high school students at Westside Christian Academy to explain about the many career opportunities that await them at GM if they focus their studies in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Technology.)
Detroit, Michigan, February 27, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Ms. Weatherspoon told the students how she was always interested in math and went to college to become an engineer, and how her professional track took her even farther, eventually becoming the Talent Acquisition Manager, Global Propulsion Systems for General Motors.

The Westside Master Class Series focuses on careers in STEM, and is held at the school on the last Thursday of every month.
“Ms. Weatherspoon gave our students some insight into how she rose through the ranks at GM to achieve the position she now has and the many opportunities in the automotive industry that would be available to them if they excelled in a STEM education,” said Henry Wells, III, campus principal and head of the school.
