Voting is Now Open for the Opening Act Competition

Thousands of hopeful musicians vie for $10K and the chance to play the Hollywood Bowl

Opening Act, the online music talent competition from Audacy (formerly Radio.com), is ready for your vote.

Thousands of bands and solo acts are competing to open for the Audacy Live concert at the Hollywood Bowl this October. The concert will feature major recording artists soon to be revealed. RAINNE, the previous competition winners, opened for Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Jonas Brothers, Lizzo, and more. In addition to playing the world-famous venue, the winning act will also take home $10,000.

The performers range in style and genre, from rock and pop to niche sub-genres like Americana and electro house. Voters are encouraged to browse the competitors, discover new music, find a new favorite act, and vote them into stardom.

"Our team puts a lot of hours into reviewing and listening to each registrant. There are so many talented acts and, even though only one can win, we're excited to give them all a platform and opportunity to share their talents and gain some exposure," says an executive with Opening Act.

Voters have the option of voting once daily, for free, or with purchased Together Votes at any time. A portion of proceeds will be donated by the Opening Act competition to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention — an organization that is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. The previous competition garnered a $446,779 donation for the MusiCares Foundation.

The winner of Opening Act will be decided by the public through an online voting process where the musician or band with the most votes will take the top spot. Those interested can head over to The Opening Act website to browse the artists and submit votes.
