The Connecticut State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management Presents a Virtual State-Wide Job Fair That is Free for Jobseekers and Priceless Exposure for Staff-Strapped Employers
BERLIN, Conn., October 1, 2021 (Newswire.com) - The Connecticut State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (CT SHRM) today announced their first-ever Virtual Career Fair. The career fair will take place online on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. As we all begin to recover from our national health emergency, CT SHRM has shifted its focus from dealing with a pandemic present to moving forward toward a bright future for job-seeking professionals and revenue-seeking businesses in CT and beyond. Recently, Connecticut had the second-highest unemployment rate in the U.S. at 7.9%. We are now teetering around 7.4%. As we all sustain our resilience and recovery through a world health crisis, significant local labor challenges continue to burden our state when it comes to hiring, attracting and retaining employees. CT SHRM's upcoming Virtual Career Fair is responding to the critical needs of jobseekers, employers and community partners.
