Victory Outreach International to Commemorate 50th Anniversary in July at World Conference in L.A.
It is a homecoming of sorts, for the ministry that started in 1967 in Boyle Heights in East Los Angeles.
Los Angeles, CA, March 22, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Victory Outreach International will be holding their World Conference starting July 10 at The Los Angeles Convention Center. In commemoration of Victory Outreach's 50th anniversary, the week-long event takes place in the city where it all started in 1967 with a small church's ministry to troubled inner cities.
The World Conference week of events is specially-tailored to all age groups and walks of life. Victory Outreach has members across over 33 countries and 700 churches and ministries.
The conference gets under way with a prayer meeting on Monday, July 10 at 6:00 p.m. Morning sessions begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, there will be special Spanish sessions in the the Concourse Hall.
Also, during the mornings are youth ministry sessions of God's Annointed Now Generation, more commonly referred to as G.A.N.G. The sessions, open to all youth and young adult attendees, take place Tuesday through Friday during the conference.
There will also be a 50th Anniversary Celebration Banquet on Saturday, which includes a three course gourmet meal and a viewing of the new feature film, "Sonny", about Victory Outreach International Founder, Sonny Arguinzoni. Tickets to the 50th Anniversary Celebration Banquet are separate from the World Conference itself. Early bird tickets are currently for sale until May 31 for $125, after which the price will be $140 per person.

Sonny grew up in New York City and had a troubled youth, before achieving ultimate redemption through finding Jesus. After struggles with gang affiliations and substance abuse, Arguinzoni gave himself to the Lord and became an ordained minister.
Arguinzoni and his wife began taking people into their home from off the streets of Boyle Heights throughout the neighborhood near the former Aliso Village Housing Projects. They welcomed them in to feed them and talk to them about the redemption attainable through faith in God. The ministry grew in the neighborhood and through the years, expanded locations throughout all of California. Through missions and outreach, Victory Outreach founded ministries in numerous continents throughout the world.
