Thrive Events to Take a Bite and Help Find a Cure for ALS

The Thrive Events President, recently announced that the team would volunteer for Bite Nite Phoenix to raise awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The event takes place on June 3.

“This event is just one of the many ways in which our Thrive Events team will give back to our community this year,” she stated. “We’re looking forward to assisting with this signature event, which will raise funds to research a cure for this progressive neurological disease.”

"The key to successfully giving back is to align with an organization that shares your values."

As she explained, Bite Nite will benefit The ALS Association Arizona Chapter. “This is the ninth year for the event, which began in 2009,” she said. “The evening is replete with great food, wonderful cocktails, and live entertainment. The dishes are prepared from some of our region’s most renowned chefs, so you know the food will be beyond tasty.”

“Each year, the ALS Association Arizona Chapter assists 400 people throughout the state who are afflicted with this disease,” she added. “The average cost to care for a person suffering from this disease is $200,000. Funds raised at this event go to both research and providing support for families who are caring for loved ones with ALS.”

She added that Thrive Events associates would be assisting the Bite Nite organizers with other practical needs during the evening. “We told them to put us to work wherever we would best be of help,” she said.

Thrive Events President Shares How the Firm Gives Back to the Community

As she noted, philanthropy is a part of the Thrive Events culture. “We routinely look for worthy causes to support,” she said. “Bite Nite happens to be one that is both worthy and exciting to support.”

The firm’s policy on giving back involves team input. “We recognize that our team’s involvement is vital to our success,” she shared. “Therefore, to get buy-in, we ask them to recommend causes or charities that we should consider.”

“The key to successfully giving back is to align with an organization that shares your values,” she added. “In this case, The ALS Association Arizona Chapter is helping people in our own backyard. This type of work is something we strive to be part of. It’s all about doing good for our neighbors, especially those grappling with such challenging health issues. When we give back, we receive so much in return.”
