The Sunny Serenade Concert in Sunny Isles Beach Is Rescheduled for June 4, 2016

Due to the stormy weather, the May 21 Sunny Serenade Concert, featuring "The Ignite Band", is pushed back to Saturday, June 4 at 7:30 pm. The concert will be held at Heritage Park, 19200 Collins, and is free and open to the public.

Come out to Heritage Park at 19200 Collins Avenue, Saturday, June 4 at 7:30 pm to hear "The Ignite Band" perform at the last in the Sunny Serenade Concert in this series until fall. Sunny Serenade Concerts have a long history in the City of Sunny Isles Beach, beginning with the opening of the first park on the beach. Samson Oceanfront Park, at 17425 Collins Avenue, was a great venue for the event for years. Ocean breezes kept the crowds cool on warm evenings and a portable stage and dance floor were brought in for convenience of the band and those who wished to dance.

Traditionally, the Sunny Serenade Concert Series ran from September to May, avoiding the summer rainy season. In the beginning, concerts were held the third Wednesday of the month and were an extension of the City’s cultural programming, which already offered trips to concerts, sporting events and shopping venues. As the series grew in popularity, it moved to Saturday nights. Now the whole family can join in the fun, dancing, singing and eating the delicious food for sale from vendors. With no school the next day, there is no need to worry about bedtimes for the kids or the parents!

Come spend an enjoyable evening of music at the wonderful open air setting of Heritage Park. Parking for this event will be available at the Heritage Park garage and under the William Lehman Causeway for no charge. For additional event information, please contact the Cultural & Community Services Department at 305.792.1706.
