The Spinning Infant Car Seat

New York, NY, July 11, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Is getting a child in and out of a car seat a real hassle? Sometimes one has to literally climb into the back seat and awkwardly bend and stretch. The easily installed Spinning Infant Car Seat, a specially designed infant car seat, has a base with a swivel platform which allows one to easily rotate the seat in any direction. A child can be placed into and gotten out of a car seat, without having to climb completely into the backseat or lean awkwardly into the car. Also, if a child is choking, hungry or otherwise demands attention while driving, one can get to the child quickly and easily. 

The Patent Pending Spinning Infant Car Seat was invented by Jason Lake and Monique Norman of Houston, TX, who said, “The Spinning Infant Car Seat is similar in structure and function to a traditional car seat and is manufactured in accordance to standards set forth by the Juvenile Products Manufactures Association (JPMA). What makes the Spinning Infant Car Seat different from standard car seats is its swivel mounted platform. This “turntable” rotates the seat 90 degrees in any direction. For safety purposes, a series of integrated locking points are incorporated into the design of the base platform, with corresponding locking springs incorporated into the design of the seat. These pins are inserted into the base platform locking it into the stationary position and are lifted out of the platform in order to turn the seat by way of a simple, hand operated release lever positioned on the side of the seat.”

The inventor added, “Traditional car seats are installed in a fixed and stationary position which makes it extremely difficult to get a child in and out of the car seat, especially when the seat is a rear-facing one. But the Spinning Infant Car Seat's swivel mounted platform enables parents to easily turn the seat in their direction in order to load or unload a child.”
