"The Sleep Buddy": A Contoured Pillow Unit
Invents introduces "The Sleep Buddy" which works to solve sleep problems—snoring, Sleep Apnea, patient positions, bed sores and more.
New York, NY, August 5, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Improving the quality of sleep is a goal of most every individual. And, this new product called the Sleep Buddy could be the answer. The Sleep Buddy is a contoured pillow unit specially designed to help keep user's on their sides while sleeping. The design intent is to offer a comfortable means of preventing the user from rolling over onto his or her back and, as such, prevent snoring while also providing a restful night's sleep for the user as well as a sleeping partner.
The Sleep Buddy works just as well in hospitals, nursing homes and convalescent homes as it does in one's own bedroom. It negates the problem of nursing staff continually needing to turn patients on their side and the need for a lot of pillows to keep a patient in the proper position. Thus bed sores are eliminated more easily and Sleep Buddy aids the patient's sleep or rest too. It is fabricated of a soft, yet durable, memory foam and is essentially rectangular and shaped for the torso. It looks like an a “U” “ or an “open” staple. The Sleep Buddy keeps the user's position intact and leaves him or her unable to roll over onto their back and aids in undisturbed sleep. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating exceptional consumer interest in the Sleep Buddy.
The Patent Pending Sleep Buddy was invented by Sandra Rose and Kevin Rose of Palmyra, NJ who said, “Even though waking up to a new day is a privilege it is not so enjoyable without a decent sleep the night before. The Sleep Buddy is an effective way to deal with sleep problems. As a nursing assistant, I, personally see how valuable it could be because of needing to turn my patients in order to keep bed scores at a minimum. And, sleeping partners will awake refreshed and rejuvenated and wondering where the Sleep Buddy has been all his or her life.”
