"The Safe House": Helps Protect Loved Ones During a Home Invasion

One of the worst things imaginable is to have someone invade your home while you  are inside. The Safe House is a security device consisting of a series of rods to be installed within the top riser of a stairway, so that when activated, provides an impenetrable barrier between the upper and lower levels of a home. It is designed to provide a heavy security system that would seal the egress between a home's upper and lower flowers. This will enable the home's inhabitants to remain safe and secure on the upstairs level of a home in the event of a home invasion.

The Safe House is configured to be installed within the top riser of a staircase, and will consist of a series of bonded steel bars or rods that are housed within the riser and stairwell when not in use. It will be activated via a panic button that can be installed in an easily accessed area of the home, such as at the top of the stairs, a master bedroom, or similar area. Once released, the upper level of the home will be sealed off from the lower level, preventing intruders from making their way upstairs and harming the residents. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Safe House.

The Patent Pending Safe House was invented by Thomas Bacon and Jamarr Jones of Philadelphia, PA who said, “If a homeowner is awakened by a disturbance, the sound of the security alarm, or anything else, one can quickly press the Safe House panic button and initiate the rods to be released, and seal the top level of your home.”
