The Romantic Tenor And Nelleke At Lark In The Park
Online, June 17, 2011 (Newswire.com) - This year's Larks in the Parks theme is 'A Day at the Seaside' and the events will take place between 12 noon and 5pm.
The St Albans Festival is a two week celebration of art, culture and heritage, and provides an annual opportunity to experience all that the district has to offer. The two week programme will feature festival favourites such as the St Albans Pilgrimage, the 'Festival of Life', which celebrates the positive contribution the community makes towards the protection of the environment and the health of local residents, and the extremely popular Larks in the Parks, which take place at six different locations in the district.
Neil Simon, best known as The Romantic Tenor, and Nelleke will be gracing the stage and performing classical and crossover music at the Victoria Playing Field on Folly Lane in St Albans from 2 - 2.15pm and 3 - 3.15pm. Neil is an outstanding lyric tenor and has appeared at a number of prestigious venues and events including Banqueting House, Kings College Cambridge, Institute of Director's, Canary Wharf Tower and the RAC Club. He specialises in romantic Italian music and has recently released a CD - The Romantic Tenor Sings Italian Love Songs. Nelleke is a beautiful young soprano who specialises in classical and crossover music, and frequently performs at weddings and other events.
This year's Larks in the Parks sea, sun and sand theme includes giant seahorses, Edwardian gentlemen in their stripy bathing suits and the chance to take home a stick of Larks rock and enjoy traditional English seaside pursuits. Join in with the amusements and enjoy the entertainment with your family for a fun-filled and fantastic afternoon. Tickets for all Larks in the Parks are free.
