The Adjustable Length Wrench
The Adjustable Length Wrench has extension bars to increase length and leverage for stubborn or hard-to-reach nuts and bolts
Online, April 4, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Anyone who turns a wrench - from professional auto mechanics to a wide variety of industry tradesmen, to do-it-yourselfers - knows that stubborn or hard to reach nuts and bolts can be a real hassle. The Adjustable Length Wrench is a set of extension bars designed to increase the length and leverage one can get with standard wrenches. Perfect for those stubborn or hard-to-reach nuts and bolts, the Adjustable Length Wrench is a terrific addition to any tool box. Televised test marketing has been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Adjustable Length Wrench.
The Patent Pending Adjustable Length Wrench was invented by diesel technician, James Lamphear, of Watseka, IL, who said, "The Adjustable Length Wrench has a set of eight extension bars designed for use with 1/2- and 3/8-inch ratchet drivers. The extension bars are fabricated in tool-grade, solid round chrome-vanadium steel, and the set consists of two sets of four extensions each - a 1 ½-inch, 3-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch extension bar in a 1/2-inch drive configuration; and a set of the same extensions in a 3/8-inch drive configuration. The proximal or base end of each extension bar is a female socket, and distal or driving end is a male head, such that the individual extension bars in either the 1/2-inch series or the 3/8-inch series may be connected together for a total extension length of 18½ inches. The Adjustable Length Wrench has also been designed that equips a tangential-drive wrench such as an open-end wrench or box-end wrench, with an axial-drive extension bar such as those already described."
The inventor added, "The Adjustable Length Wrench comes in handy for dozens of jobs where the standard extension bars of socket-wrench sets can't reach. Best of all, it works perfectly."
