The Emerging Administrators Academy (Emerging AD) celebrates its fifth annual cohort with McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture as presenting sponsor. Hosted on Clayton State University's campus outside of Atlanta in partnership with the institution's Continuing Education Department, this year's event will take place July 9-11, 2017.

Created and founded by Clayton State's Director of Athletics, Tim Duncan, the continuation of having Emerging AD on a college campus emphasizes the importance of education and vitality of professional development.

Emerging AD also rolls out a renewed mission statement focusing on streamlined core principles that will shape its future goals to support more collegiate athletic directors toward advancement in their careers:

Emerging AD Board of Advisors and panelists include Dr. Derrick Gragg, Vice-President and Director of Athletics, The University of Tulsa; Tim Duncan, Emerging AD Founder and Director of Athletics, Clayton State University; Steve Stroud, Senior Associate Director of Athletics/External Affairs, Troy University and Dena Freeman-Patton, Deputy Athletics Director at California State University-Bakersfield.
