Tenth Annual Digital Ball® is Sold Out Thanks to Record Support
Atlanta - April 20, 2010. TechBridge, a nonprofit that provides affordable technology services to help other nonprofits do more and serve more people, is celebrating its 10th year of delivering technology to the community. Along with the decade celebration, TechBridge is also pleased to announce that Atlanta's premier technology event, the Digital Ball, is now sold out thanks to sponsorships and donations from Atlanta's technology community. In addition to the generous sponsors, a record number of IT executives have committed to hosting this year's event.
"So much has changed in technology in the last ten years but the one constant has been the need of nonprofits and our commitment to enable them," said Kathleen Kurre, CEO of TechBridge. "For a nonprofit like TechBridge to not only survive but flourish for ten years speaks to the strength of our community support and to the growing technology requirements of the nonprofits we serve. The Digital Ball provides an opportunity to celebrate the partnership between TechBridge, nonprofits, and the technology community, who enthusiastically continue to invest funds, resources and volunteer time in TechBridge."
Ten years ago, TechBridge started helping small nonprofits build websites and develop their technology plans. Today, with the continued support of the Atlanta technology community, TechBridge hosts over 200 websites, and maintains the infrastructure for nearly 50 nonprofit organizations impacting millions of people. Now, moving into more transformative services, TechBridge is bringing together donated technologies, skills-based volunteers and agile deployment methodologies to significantly increase the access to and impact of technology in the nonprofit community.
For the 10th annual Digital Ball, TechBridge is well on its way to raising over $1 million dollars in cash and in-kind donations to support its mission. Support from the technology community includes a presenting sponsorship from Accenture (a sponsor for all 10 years of the Digital Ball) and marquee sponsorships from The Coca Cola Company, First Data, Savvis and Dell. The theme of Celebrating Momentum highlights this year's Digital Ball with a fond look at the past successes and a keen eye toward the goals of the future.
