Date Set for SIM Atlanta Charity Golf Outing Benefiting TechBridge

The Society for Information Management (SIM) Atlanta announces that the fourth annual SIM Atlanta Technology Exchange and Charity Golf Outing are set for Monday October 25, 2010 at the prestigious TPC Sugarloaf and all proceeds benefit TechBridge.

Atlanta - The event brings together area CIOs and other senior IT decision makers for golf, networking, and information exchange, under the guidance of Honorary Chair, Dave Kardesh, SVP and CTO, First Data. All proceeds benefit TechBridge, a nonprofit dedicated to helping other nonprofits use technology to do more and serve more people.

"As both a SIM supporter and Director on the TechBridge Board, I am proud to serve as this year's Honorary Chair. I can think of no better way to network with peers than spending an afternoon on the green, while raising funds for the critical technology services TechBridge makes available to nonprofits," said Kardesh. "I look forward to welcoming the IT community to this worthwhile event."

In 2009, a record turnout of 120 IT executives participated in SIM Atlanta's third annual charity golf tournament on November 16, 2009 at the Country Club of the South. The event raised more than $40,000 to support TechBridge programs and services. SIM is an international organization with more than 3,200 members representing over 500 companies.

2010 confirmed sponsors to-date already include: Abacus Solutions, The Intersect Group, The People Network, Primus Software Corporation and Pyramid Consulting, Inc.

These sponsors will be golfing alongside CIOs and IT leaders from corporations including: Cox Communications, First Data, The Home Depot, LeasePlan USA, Manhattan Associates, Newell Rubbermaid, and SunTrust.

Sponsorship opportunities remain. For more information about the tournament, please contact Mark Farbman at mark@pyramidci.com or (678) 467-0453 or visit www.techbridge.org.
