Team Emerio Bags Second Place at the BT Golf League 2015
Emerio's golf team steps up in this year's BT Golf 2015 and rounds off the games at second place.
Singapore, Singapore, December 22, 2015 (Newswire.com) - As anticipated, Team Emerio surpassed their last year’s performance in The Business Times (BT) Corporate Golf League 2015 and finished second in the Open Category.
The team played brilliantly during the final leg at Serapong and reduced the deficit from 11, finishing at 527 points, just seven points shy of winning Team Boustead’s 534 points. Team Emerio was a consistent contender together with third placer Team CITI (524), fourth placer Abeo Electra (514) and fifth placer Seagull Gayatri (511). The totals was based on the collective scores of the best four out of the first five legs held at Sentosa Golf Club, Raffles Country Club, Tanah Merah Country Club, Singapore Island Country Club and Seletar Country Club, plus the final leg results on Tuesday, 24th of November, held at Sentosa Golf Club.

Now on its sixth year, the BT Corporate Golf League is an exclusive golf league for corporate executives from different entities. The tournament is played in a team format over six 18-hole rounds, with each team composed of 6 to 12 players, at least 1 of whom must be a staff or company director. Participants compete and network with executives from other companies at the same time. The 2015 games were held between July and November.
This is Emerio’s fifth year as a league participant and the strong finish out of 16 participating companies is a remarkable triumph. Emerio’s team captain, Harish Nim, said: “We were 13th in 2013, fifth last year and now second.” He promised the team will be back next year stronger and going for the title. Mr. Nim played off 13 in the final leg and returned a gross 87.
The team was jubilant after the final round and celebrated with the other teams and guests at Sentosa Golf Club during the dinner.
