Teach Abroad Thailand Scam Review Post Is a Hoax Says CEO Jimmy Crangle
Online, March 9, 2011 (Newswire.com) - A rogue blogger is posting malicious comments about the popular TEFL teaching website Teach Abroad Thailand claims CEO Jimmy Crangle. The fake blogger, using an alias, claims he was scammed by Teach Abroad Thailand, which has since been described as "absurd" by the organization's chief.
Teach Abroad Thailand, www.teachabroadthailand.com with over 2,000 customers, is one of the largest TEFL teaching operators in Thailand and has been running Teach Abroad programs since 2003.
"We are all quite shocked by this" said Jimmy. "The blogger has no qualms about publicizing my name, our company name, and our website, yet has refused to make any formal complaint directly to us. This is deeply saddening and frustrating as we pride ourselves on handling all issues so that each party walks away satisfied regardless of the issues." Jimmy goes on to claim "We are this only TEFL company I know of that offers refunds, which rarely ever happens, but it gives peace of mind to our students and has always protected us against this type if thing."
The blogger goes by the name of 'Mr Cole' but Teach Abroad Thailand have no record of anyone attending a course under that name.
"If any student is unhappy all they have to do is call the program manager or drop us an email and we would deal with any issue immediately. The fact that the post suggests the Teach Abroad Thailand program is a scam, seems absurd since the blogger claims he did in fact attend one of our TEFL courses" fumes Jimmy, "So none of this makes any sense."
"The post amounts to libel and defamation, which are very serious offenses in Thailand" argues Jimmy. "I never though I would ever have to go through this, but I will not let our good reputation, which took 8 years to build, get tarnished in an instant by one rogue blogger."
Jimmy intends to press criminal charges in under Thai law once the culprit has been identified.
