Teach Abroad Thailand Review - Complaint Website Demanded Money to Remove Negative Post Claims CEO Jimmy Crangle
Online, March 10, 2011 (Newswire.com) - A website where a rogue blogger had posted malicious comments about the popular TEFL teaching website Teach Abroad Thailand, demanded money from the organization to remove the post.
Newswire reported yesterday that a rogue blogger had been posting malicious comments about Teach Abroad Thailand. The fake blogger claimed he was scammed by Teach Abroad Thailand, which has since been dismissed as "absurd" by the organization's chief.
"This confirmed what I suspected yesterday" says Jimmy, "One Indian based website called Merareview.com strategically posted the unsubstantiated blog along with our company name and web address. This was a calculated attempt to optimize the post for any search of our company name on Google. After we asked for the post to be removed, they demanded $100, which is nothing short of blackmail" complains Jimmy, "We would reimburse any student who was not happy with our services so my fear is this is an organized attempt by one or more individuals to damage our reputation."
Teach Abroad Thailand, with over 2,000 customers, is one of the largest TEFL teaching operators in Thailand and has been running Teach Abroad programs since 2003.
