TD Bank in Rockville Certified LEED Gold by the USGBC

KBE Building Corporation Awarded for Work on Maryland Project

KBE Building Corporation (KBE) has achieved LEED Gold certification for the TD Bank located in Rockville, Maryland. This is the third TD Bank completed by KBE that has achieved LEED Gold.

KBE served as General Contractor for the $1 million TD Bank project, located in the Montrose Crossing shopping center in Rockville, Maryland. The bank facility consists of approximately 2,700 square feet of new construction and was completed in September 2015.

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2000, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, provides verification that a building was designed and built using aspects of efficient environmental health conservation strategies. The certification is divided into four categories: LEED, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each category recognizes a building’s performance in specific areas, including: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.

KBE also completed construction of the overall Montrose Crossing retail center, as well as tenant fit-out services for the Bob’s Stores and A.C. Moore.
