STREAMTEK Vortex Tube named product of the century
Online, June 29, 2010 (Newswire.com) - CHARLOTTE, NC - June 26th, 2010 - The Vortex Tube has long been used to solve industrial cooling problems. Why would one ever want to turn their back to something that can offer a ¼ ton of refrigeration that can fit into the palm of your hand and have absolutely no moving parts?
Available in two sizes (small & medium) the STREAMTEK Vortex Tube has a wide range of cooling capacities. With flow rates from 1 to 40 SCFM (28 to 1132 SLPM), the refrigeration, temperatures and flows can be adjusted over a very wide range by turning the solid brass control valve located on hot end exhaust.
Though commonly known as a Vortex Tube, it has been variously known as the "Ranque-Hilsch Tube", the "Ranque Vortex Tube", the "Maxwell's Demon" and "Hilsch Tube". Only within the last decade or so has it proved to be a reliable, low cost and simple solution to a wide range of industrial spot cooling application(s).
