With no refrigerants or moving parts, the Vortex Tube is commonly used to cool environmental chambers, machining operations, gas samples and electronic chambers.
The STREAMTEK Vortex Tube latterly fits in the palm of your hand and provides cooling capacities up to 2,800 BTU/Hr. It's available in both Stainless Steel & Anodized Aluminum. For the price conscious customer, the anodized aluminum Vortex Tubes are lighter and often just as effective in most applications!
Setting the Vortex Tube couldn't be easier! Simply put a thermometer into the cold end exhaust and adjust temperature using a standard flat head screwdriver on the slotted brass control valve. The Vortex Tube is capable of decreasing initial inlet compressed air temperatures by 115F (46C) and raise temperatures by 200F (93C).
The Vortex Tube features solid brass interchangeable generators which are used to change the flow and cooling capacity. With no moving parts, a maintenance free operation is guaranteed. Hot and Cold end mufflers are also available to keep noise levels down.
