Solving Hunger Through Solar Power
CHICAGO, July 16, 2019 (Newswire.com) - RxSun, a locally owned, Chicago-based residential solar company, has partnered with the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, Feeding America, to help fight hunger. For each residential solar system installed by RxSun, the company will donate 1,000 meals to those in need.
An estimated 15 million children live in households where adequate, nutritious food is limited. They’re among the nearly 50 million Americans who are struggling to avoid hunger today, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Through RxSun’s Go Solar – Give Back program, the company provides meals to those in need. This program allows Illinois homeowners to directly contribute to the 4 billion meals that Feeding America provides each year.
Chris Gersch, CEO/Founder of RxSun, states, “Through our partnership with Feeding America, RxSun is committed to ending hunger in the communities in which we live and work. Our entire team is grateful to be giving back in such a meaningful way.”
With recently established state and federal incentives, the opportunity to go solar is more attractive than ever in Illinois. RxSun is committed to working with local homeowners and neighborhoods to fully embrace the environmental and financial benefits that solar has to offer.
