RPMC Lasers Looking to Fill Multiple Positions to Support Current Growth Rate
O'FALLON, Mo., September 23, 2019 (Newswire.com) - RPMC Lasers Inc, the leading distributor of solid-state lasers in North America, is proud to announce multiple full-time job openings at their new facility in O’Fallon, MO. RPMC has seen been rapidly expanding their capabilities to support its fast growth rate and ensure the highest levels of customer support. This growth has led to their expansion and move to their new 6,000 square foot facility in December of 2018 and the addition of several new technical and administrative team members. As part of this expansion process, RPMC Lasers is now looking to grow its customer support team in the following areas.
Service Manager:
The service manager’s primary job function will be to perform hands-on testing of incoming lasers and laser equipment and offsite product installations, in addition, they will be responsible for providing the customer with knowledgeable pre-sale and post-sale technical support. The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree or higher in laser or electronics technology, with a minimum of 5 years of field technical service experience. A proven track record of customer service or sales experience is a plus, particularly in laser technology, and a candidate must be willing to travel approximately 25% of the time. Travel will be primarily domestic, but some international travel may be required as well.
Market/Application Specialist:
The market/application specialist will be responsible for conducting market studies identifying potential customers for products or services, provide sales support for applications and technical questions, and prepare and deliver technical presentations. A candidate must have a detailed technical understanding of how laser technologies are used in the following key markets: defense, industrial, life science, and medical. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, physics, or related technical field, with a minimum of 5 years of laser sales or customer service experience and be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
Laser Sales:
The salesperson will focus on our DPSS and fiber lasers and amplifiers and laser and laser diode modules in the IR, UV and visible wavelengths. In addition to their pure sales responsibilities, laser sales staff are also expected to assist customers with front line application support and product installation support as well as prepare and deliver technical presentations to prospective customers. The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree or higher in laser or electronics technology, as well as previous technical sales experience in the optoelectronics industry. The laser sales staff are responsible for achieving sales targets and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The position requires a motivated self-starter who is goal orientated and willing to travel a minimum of 25% of the time.
