Rehegoo Music Group Featured in 'Rockonomics' by Alan B. Krueger, Economic Advisor to Barack Obama

One of the Fastest Growing Record Labels in Music Industry History is Highlighted for Pioneering on Behalf of Underground Artists

On June 4, 2019, Rockomics hit the shelves, full of economic insight and wisdom gathered by the late, renowned American economist and presidential economic advisor, Alan B. Krueger, as he took a dive into the music industry.

The book features a case study of Rehegoo Music Group, a 5-year-old record label that made waves in the world of entertainment this year by launching a joint-venture with Grammy-legend, award-winner, Quincy Jones.

Weeks later, Rehegoo is back in the spotlight with Rockonomics, being described by Krueger as “artist-friendly, compared with traditional record companies.” The label is praised in the book for paving the road for underground artists to gain more exposure in the digital market, a mission that sets Rehegoo apart from its industry counterparts. Krueger emphasizes the impact, by stating that “if the long tail is to offer musicians more opportunity, it is because of innovations like Rehegoo.”

In his recollection, Krueger talks about visiting Rehegoo offices and depicts the booming economic growth that the label has seen in just a few short years, not only for the company itself but for its top artists, who have also seen a dramatic increase in their royalty checks to the extent of quitting their day jobs and becoming full-time musicians.

“We are humbled beyond words to have been studied by one of the world’s most influential economists. Our mission is to give musicians a voice in the world, and it was a tremendous honor to receive recognition by Alan B. Krueger for our work,” said Marco Rinaldo, Founder and CEO of Rehegoo Music Group.

The book is now available worldwide. For more information visit www.rehegoo.com.
