Recfluence Is Live: But Recruitment Agencies Are Being Kept in the Dark

Recfluence is not yet letting recruitment agencies see any feedback that may have been left for them, causing some concern amongst recruitment agents.

  • Job Hunters Can Leave Feedback
  • However, Recruitment Agencies are being kept in the dark

The Recruitment Agency Review Site, Recfluence, has launched and is now allowing candidates to leave their feedback on their experiences with recruitment agencies.

However, Recfluence is not yet letting recruitment agencies see any feedback that may have been left for them, causing some concern amongst recruitment agents. Founder Danny Wu explains the reason for this. "It's important Recfluence launches with both quantitative and qualitative reviews. With some of the ratings we have received already, it's clear we need to carefully manage the initial process to ensure that recruitment agencies have a fair opportunity to respond to any negative reviews."

As with any rating platform, negative reviews have a tendency to lead the way during the initial months and it has been the same story for Recfluence since it opened up its review system for candidates. However, as lead investor Raj Dhonota explained "Recruitment Agencies should not be too worried unless of course they are oblivious to the feedback and no prepared to respond. We decided to keep the reviews under wraps so that we could ensure a fair process and, given some of the reviews we are getting, we were right to do so. We are already working with some recruitment agencies to ensure feedback is not one-sided."

With more and more candidates leaving reviews, and more and more recruitment agencies enquiring on the status and type of feedback being received, Recfluence will soon be publishing anonymous snippets of feedback via its media channels. They are hoping the curiosity will not have the same effect on recruitment agents as it did on the cat!

On the impact on recruitment agencies, clearly the vulnerable parties in this process, co-founder Rebecca Zheng is quick to point out "Obviously, a few organizations and agencies indulge in practices that are unfair for job hunters. Recfluence is not about finding the best or victimising the worst, but is about helping everyone in the industry improve and grow progressively for the benefit of every job hunter. With Recfluence, one can be assured of an engaging and thriving online atmosphere with legitimacy and integrity."
