Promoting Awareness | Victim Empowerment: Rising

A Night of Hope Celebrating 20 Years of Supporting Trauma Survivors
PAVE Rising

Promoting Awareness | Victim Empowerment is excited to present "PAVE Rising", streaming globally live from the Schaumburg Prairie Center, a premiere performance venue in the Chicagoland area on Sunday, July 11, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. PAVE Rising will be an evening of hope, talent, and philanthropy to support PAVE, the charity that is leading the national movement in shattering the silence of sexual violence with education, advocacy and support for survivors. PAVE Rising will stream globally to our network of over 800 partnering organizations.

PAVE Rising will feature celebrities including Esme Bianco (Game of Thrones), Steve Connell (Poet, We are the Lions), and Soulful Ambitions. Media personality Whitney Reynolds (Emmy Nominated, PBS & iHeartRadio) will host this unforgettable event. PAVE Rising will feature surprise celebrity talent, an Instagram-worthy step and repeat, powerful spoken word performances and a tribute to survivors. Thank you to our premier sponsor Audiochuck.

PAVE Rising will commemorate PAVE's 20-year anniversary, and PAVE Founder, Angela Rose's, 25-year survivorversary from when she was kidnapped from Schaumburg's Woodfield Mall.

"Did you know that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be impacted by sexual violence before the age of 18? As a survivor myself, and as a mom, I am working tirelessly with PAVE to help prevent sexual assault and help survivors thrive after trauma." Angela Rose, Founder.

Rose founded PAVE after she was kidnapped from Woodfield Mall in July of 1996 (exactly 25 years ago) by a repeat sex offender who was on parole for murder when she was a teenager. From this story emerged one of the nation's leading activists in the movement to prevent sexual assault and help survivors heal. In Washington D.C., Rose cultivated PAVE into a national nonprofit contributing to the White House Task Force To Protect Students from Sexual Assault and supported the launch of the Bi-Partisan Task Force to End Sexual Violence in Congress. She has been invited to speak across the country on military bases, corporations, college campuses including the University of Oxford in England.

Donations raised at this event will support survivors of trauma across the country and aid in PAVE's prevention efforts.

Join the movement and spread hope by hosting a watch party, sharing on social media, or becoming a PAVEr for $20 a month.
