Post Cuba, Forest Hills Tenleytown Music Group (FHTMG) Continues International Presence

FHTMG To Expand Operations Internationally Throughout Europe And The Middle East

Already off to a demanding start to 2016, FHTMG, www.FHTMG.com, has just returned from Cuba on their collaboration with Cuba Skate, www.CubaSkate.com, in an effort to support and grow the Cuban skateboarding and hip-hop communities.   The initiative provided access to skateboarding equipment that is otherwise unavailable on the island; in addition cross-promoted culture and lifestyle. In doing so, the label has constructed an environment for Cuban youth that will have a positive impact on the greater community.

This was just a first step following a return to US and Cuban diplomacy.  FHTMG has various initiatives underway in an effort to build cultural bridges; undertaking both humanitarian efforts, and raising awareness to the battles that lie ahead.  In addition, the label has applied this same approach internationally as they now expand internationally through Germany, the United Kingdom, and Beirut.

In Germany, FHTMG President and artist Abu Rahss will be releasing various German language tracks in collaboration with many of the countries most notable underground hip-hop artists; particularly in the city of Frankfurt, where a vibrant and diverse community has influenced hip-hop across the globe.  As a label that gives back, and raises awareness to worldwide humanitarian efforts, the German releases will have a key focus on the refugee crisis affecting Germany and throughout the world.

Beginning late February 2016, FHTMG will be opening a UK locality, where they will first be collaborating with Jaded, https://soundcloud.com/jadedofficial, to produce an album and visual content; the album, unlike previous work, will have more of a house/electronic vibe. Aside from the Jaded collaboration, FHTMG will be doing live shows and creating new music with other London based underground hip-hop/grime artists.

As spring rolls around, FHTMG is scheduled to work with and alongside Qatar-based Al-Sharq Studios, http://alsharqstudio.com/, to produce musical content for Beirut, Lebanon and various Palestinian territories. The work in the Middle East, like previous endeavors will have some emphasis on advocacy and awareness.
