Pink Ribbon Story Foundation to hold Founders' Gala & Auction Saturday, October 20th, 2012 from 7:00 P.M. to midnight at the Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta to recognize the breast cancer survivors featured in the foundation's documentary.

Pink Ribbon Story Foundation (PRSF) is devoted to expanding their breast cancer survivors' network to help guide patients and their families through the breast cancer treatment process. PRSF provides narrative medicine: the real-life experience of women who have been through the process with documentary interviews and an active social media community on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

Dedicated to sharing their knowledge and experience, Pink Ribbon Story's Ambassadors offer their narratives to help other women navigate the difficulties associated with breast cancer treatment and self-advocacy. Atlanta breast cancer survivor, Joni, shared with the breast cancer support group's Facebook community during their "Sharing. Learning. Healing." campaign to communicate survivors' insights, "Listen, listen, listen to others after diagnosis regarding doctors, surgery and treatment. Prayerfully proceed with your decision and don't look back!"

The gala, presented by Honorary Chairman Atlanta breast specialist, William A. Barber, founder of PRSF, Dr. James Namnoum, and media sponsor Modern Luxury, will feature a cocktail hour with live music by Colorado based bluegrass band, The Travelers, a seated dinner, as well as silent and live auctions to raise funds for additional survivor filming across the nation.

The gala's goal is to recognize the women who've shared their stories and advanced public awareness of the breast cancer non-profit. Funds raised during the event's auctions will go toward offsetting the cost of video production and further development of the group's online video and breast cancer resource blog library (pinkribbonstories.org).

Confirmed auction items include getaways to New York City, Spain, Cabo San Lucas, and others, Atlanta shopping sprees, box seats for the UGA Bulldogs, tickets to the Atlanta Ballet and Alliance Theatre, and one-of-a-kind art pieces. The live auction will be led by Matthew Holiday, Benefit Auctioneer Specialist, of Holiday Benefits.

Gala tickets may be purchased for $350 per person or $3500 for a table of ten by emailing events@pinkribbonstories.org. Sponsorship packages are available from $1,000-$25,000 to support PRSF'S efforts. Tax-deductable donations may be made by check, credit card, or by donating online .
