Pastor Cyd Moves Forward with Her Message as Book Nears Completion
Inspirational visionary Pastor Cyd announces the release of her new book, "Trust God or Go Crazy," as her message starts to spread.
Online, February 5, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Pastor Cyd recently announced that her first book would be released in early 2015. The book tells the story of her journey from being called to the ministry as a woman raised in a fundamentalist Baptist church to her coming to terms with her sexuality and her faith. Recently, it was announced that the book would be called “Trust God or Go Crazy,” and there are plans for a 20-date book tour to promote its release.
Pastor Cyd, as she is affectionately called by those who have been touched by her hope-filled messages, is a native of Greenville, SC. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters in Ministry from Southern Wesleyan University. In the early nineties, Cindy travelled across the U.S. with her ministry, “Reality Check,” a refreshing blend of stand-up comedy, dramatic monologues and honest reflection. In January 1996, after much soul-searching, she moved from Greenville, SC to Nashville, TN. In August of that same year, she started a Bible study that grew into what is today Holy Trinity Community Church, UCC (United Church of Christ), an open and affirming and predominately LGBTQ congregation of over 700.
She has now turned her attention to launching “Ignite Your Soul Now,” and alongside her first book “Trust God or Go Crazy” she will be making personal, radio and podcast appearances as well as launching a new website and spreading her message.
