Palmer Gas/Ermer Oil Safety Day for Oil and Propane Gas
Online, July 6, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Palmer Gas/Ermer Oil, a progressive Southern New Hampshire company that supplies Fuel Oil, Propane Gas and all types of heating equipment services and appliances, recently organized and conducted the Sixth Annual Safety Day for all their employees as well as for many important local and statewide safety organizations. The extensive Safety Day training sessions focused primarily on keeping employees, customers and emergency response personnel safe while performing their duties.
The comprehensive safety day training included varied sessions about preventing work-related injuries; spill prevention and clean up; a review of NH Department of Transportation regulations, as well as other safety and service guidelines for drivers and mechanics; and overall tank safety. An important focus was ensuring the safety of all the local communities and towns in their service area.
Also participating were numerous safety experts from the New Hampshire State Police, and several insurance safety specialists. Additionally, loss prevention and clean up specialists were on-hand to discuss and perform demonstrations about their areas of expertise with Palmer Gas/Ermer Oil employees. Important information was freely shared which improved the overall knowledge and expertise of each of the participating organizations.
"Because safety is so important in our line of work, we strongly believe in dedicating a full day on the topic. It's a great extension to the on-going training that our employees participate in based on their areas of expertise throughout the year. It's also a great team-building opportunity," said Joe Trefethen, General Manager of Palmer Gas/Ermer Oil.
Palmer Gas/Ermer Oil has an ongoing commitment to provide quality training for their staff and licensed field technicians to ensure the company can offer the best in energy-saving products and services in the safest possible manner. Additionally, the commitment extends to the important partnerships with local area first responders and safety personnel who are chartered with ensuring the safety of local communities and towns.
