Despite frigid temperatures, scores of industry decision makers from the fields of real estate and finance came out to meet their peers and learn more about the Israel Tennis Centers at the ITC’s first annual “NETworking Courtside” event on January 19th at the Dream Hotel in New York City. Organized by the ITC’s New York Regional Board, it was a rare opportunity to network with business leaders from around the Tri-State region while supporting the ITC and its programs benefiting underserved children throughout Israel.

“Our goal was to organize an event that would bring together socially conscious people among whom the ITC’s message would resonate,” said NY Regional Board Chair Eran Nornberg. “The work of the ITC in helping to improve the lives of children and their families regardless of background or religious affiliation is a mission that needs our support now more than ever.”

The Israel Tennis Centers is celebrating its 40th anniversary as the largest social service agency for children in Israel, with 14 centers helping over 20,000 young people and their families each year. Since 1976, the ITC has served over a half million Israeli children from preschool to adulthood in underprivileged communities throughout the country. Through its social impact programs, the ITC touches a wide range of children, including youth at risk, immigrants and children with special needs, from autism and ADHD to Down Syndrome, as well as those with developmental and physical disabilities. Children from all walks of life are welcome, including Israeli Jews, Arabs, Bedouins and Druze, fostering peaceful coexistence. No child is ever turned away!

“We so appreciate everyone who turned out for our event, and want to give a special thanks to the presenting sponsor U.S. Trust for their support,” said Phil Silber, ITC President. “It was especially gratifying to see the large number of new people who had no prior connection or knowledge of the ITC. They represent real growth potential for the organization.”
