 When it comes to gratitude for the success they have attained, the team at On The Fly Marketing routinely practices giving back to the community. In fact, they have made philanthropic activities a part of their firm’s culture.

Terra, On The Fly Marketing’s Director of Operations, explained the firm’s philosophy. “We believe that our success is a reflection of our community support,” she said. “As such, we feel it’s important to be good neighbors to those around us. We look for creative ways by which to give back that reflect our innovative spirit.”

Two ways the On The Fly Marketing team has recently given back include a toiletry drive for the homeless and supporting the Miss Amazing Pageant.

“We chose to collect toiletry products, like toothpaste, shampoo, soaps, brushes, and other basic hygiene items to distribute to the homeless in this area,” Terra noted of their first venture. “We assembled nice toiletry bags that the recipients can bring with them to shelters. Most people focus on clothing and food when it comes to those who have fallen on hard times. We sought to go a different route and provide them with another necessity.”

The other event Terra noted was extremely poignant given the emphasis placed on beauty in today’s world. “We were so honored to help the Miss Amazing Pageant qualifiers from all over the mid-west region,” she explained. “This pageant celebrates the beauty and strength of women from pre-teens to adults who are differently abled. It’s truly inspirational to see these women who have overcome odds at times, yet are uniquely talented and beautiful.”

“We donated items for the silent auction, assisted with the event, and distributed gift bags to the lovely contestants,” she explained. “Each moment was a reminder for us that we should never allow conventional expectations of beauty and ability define us.”

On The Fly Marketing Managers Describe Future Plans for Giving Back

As Terra noted, the On The Fly Marketing team will continue to engage in philanthropy. “These types of activities inspire and excite our spirits,” she shared. Among the upcoming events, Terra proclaimed that the team will be conducting a school supply drive next month, which will provide students in need with provisions required for their education. She also added the company would be hosting an event in October that will support the military.

For Terra, being able to support the community has a personal appeal. “My upbringing was challenging, and donations were always important to receive when we were in need,” she noted.  “Being able to give back really hits home based on my own childhood experiences.”

“Even if you have nothing to give you can give your time,” Terra concluded, “It is an honor to add value to the community. I want our team to be able to offer time to help out and for them to experience the impact of helping others. I believe it is important as a company to be involved, as it makes us stronger as a whole.”
