NORWALK, Conn., November 18, 2019 (Newswire.com) - OMEGA’s SP-001 Infrared Smart Probe provides a reliable and economical method for most non-contact temperature monitoring applications, including moving material, corrosive material, and high-temperature measurement. This probe features flexible mounting, M12 cabling, and temperature range of -70°C to 380°C (+/- 2°C), as well as ambient temperature sensing.
The new probe also comes equipped with Smart Core technology for use in IIoT applications. Smart features include plug-and-play capabilities in a compact, easily mountable package that is compatible with both wired and wireless interfaces and can be configured using free SYNC software.
The Smart IR Temperature Probe is available with two choices of optical field of view, either 6:1 or 10:1. Variants with two configurable digital I/O pins are also available. Probes can be configured either as inputs or outputs and are useful for a myriad of applications, including driving relays, physical alarms or sensing dry contacts, such as door switches. Additionally, these probes can also be configured as edge controllers, as they can generate logical output control signals based on local sensor inputs.
