"The goal was to streamline all the applications for all of the company," explains Brad McIntosh, head of Sandy's Vehicle Center. "Candidates can upload their resume and input all their info. No back and forth," he says.
Ease of applying is an important factor for those looking for jobs. A low unemployment rate makes this a workers' market, as there are more job openings than there are candidates to fill them, according to the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The national unemployment rate is a low 3.5 percent, the federal agency reported in January. And competition for workers is stiff.
"Every towing company is having a tough time finding operators," McIntosh explains.
