There are 11 conferences represented on the First Team with the MVFC leading the way with five representatives. They are followed by the CAA (4), Patriot (4), Big Sky (3), Southland (3), SoCon (2) and the NEC (2). The OVC, Big South, Pioneer and MEAC all have one representative.

"These represent the very best of the FCS. Many of these players will be playing on Sundays once their college career is over."

Offensively the nation’s leading rusher, Kade Harrington of Lamar and receiver, Cooper Kupp of Eastern Washington, have both returned for their senior seasons. Harrington also led the nation in scoring while Kupp caught the most touchdown passes last year.

Defensively Richmond defensive back David Jones was tied for tops in the country with nine picks. Christian Kuntz of Duquesne led the nation in TFL’s with 26 and Stetson safety Donald Payne led the nation in solo tackles.

Let’s not forget about special teams. Nick Dorka of William & Mary led the nation with 21 made field goals. Lorenzo Jerome of St. Francis led the nation in kickoff return yard average and Khris Gardin of North Carolina A&T led the nation in both average yards per punt return and punt returns for a touchdown.

Coming soon will be both the Second and Third Team NUC Sports FCS All-Americans.
