Mortgage One, Inc. in downtown Farmington, has announced that Billy Slobin has joined the company as a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer. The Farmington Hills firm handles a full range of mortgages, financial planning, financial services, loans and investments in the Greater Detroit area.

Slobin, who has also been the head strength and conditioning coach for the Farmington Hills Harrison High School football team for over 26 years, has been a trusted financial advisor for nearly three decades.

“Many qualities and skills go into being a Mortgage Loan Officer,” Slobin said. “I have found that being an advocate for my clients is my best trait in striving to consistently deliver excellent customer service.”

For 12 years running Slobin was named one of the nation’s top 200 loan originators by Mortgage Originator magazine. His long expertise in the financial field has enabled Slobin to mentor and educate new home buyers and help them enjoy a smooth home buying experience.

“The dramatic changes in our industry have necessitated a high level of education to keep pace,” Slobin said. “Over the years I have built a great team and developed the knowledge necessary to give clients the best possible service.  I am passionate about what I do in life, and truly believe that attendance, attitude and effort will help assure great success,” Slobin said.

His goal is to help clients access programs which provides them with affordable options, fast closings, low rates and excellent service.

Mortgage One, a full-service financial resource center, has been serving the community for more than 20 years. It offers many different government loan programs with low or even no down payment options. In addition, Mortgage One has information on many government loan programs that allow for down payment assistance from local municipalities. The company has expertise in Conventional, FHA, VA and Rural Development loans and can guide borrowers through the process of obtaining a government insured loan with ease.

Historically low rates and several federal programs are helping to make mortgages cheaper for many homeowners across metro Detroit and Mortgage One has full information on all of the latest mortgage options.

One new option under the federal Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) means that even more people could be eligible to get a lower rate. Homeowners who are current on their mortgage payments but have been unable to get traditional refinancing because the value of their home has declined may be eligible to refinance through HARP.

HARP is designed to help them get a new, more affordable and a more stable mortgage. HARP refinance loans require a loan application and underwriting process that Mortgage One can help facilitate.
