Momentum, Founder of the Cuba Opportunity Summit Announces Havana Conference

As more than 250 delegates travel to New York for tomorrow’s sold-out Cuba Opportunity Summit, Momentum, in partnership with the Wharton School’s Knowledge@Wharton and the Lauder Institute, today, announces its plans to hold the Havana edition of the Cuba Opportunity Summit in the winter of 2016-2017.

The Summit has historically featured a speaker faculty comprised of executives, investors, academics and industry experts with real, in-country experience and it has quickly become the recognized gathering for a “who’s who” of the U.S.-Cuba business ecosystem.

Cuba Opportunity Summit Founder and Momentum Co-CEO/Co-Founder, Ben Greenzweig said, “We are thrilled by the response to this year’s New York summit and couldn’t be happier with the timing of the conference, which is taking place just 5 days before the President’s historic visit to Havana.”

“We are also very pleased to announce our plans for a Havana edition of the Summit, so that we can provide an even richer learning, cultural and networking experience for our audience,” Greenzweig continued.

Co-chairman Faquiry Diaz, a graduate of the Wharton School of Business (W’97) said, “These events bring together the private sector with the economic sector and government officials in order to have productive discussions on opportunities for American businesses to either develop or further execute their Cuba market entry strategy.”

“Launching a version of this Summit in Havana will facilitate opportunities for U.S. business leaders to gain a firsthand understanding of the Cuban people, culture and business ecosystem as well as build those essential ‘on-island’ relationships.” Diaz concluded.

More information on the Cuba Opportunity Summit: Havana Edition will be released in the coming weeks. For more information about this year’s summit and all future activities, please visit
