Moffitt Cancer Center Chooses Digisonics Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS)
Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla., will implement Digisonics CVIS for PACS and structured reporting of their echo and research studies.
Online, May 18, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Moffitt Cancer Center, a non-profit institution located in Tampa, Fla. has selected the Digisonics cardiovascular information system (CVIS) as their solution for echo and research studies. The Digisonics cardiovascular information system will provide Moffitt Cancer Center's clinicians with a comprehensive clinical database, high-powered PACS and structured reporting. In addition, Digisonics' web-based application will provide the facility's clinicians with anywhere, anytime access to their patient images and reports.
Moffitt Cancer Center's cardiovascular information system will be enhanced with the Digisonics Search Package, a comprehensive, user-configurable search engine. This powerful tool enables users to quickly set up search criteria to extract clinical information from their cardiovascular information system database for research purposes, compile statistics required for accreditation and generate management reports to target areas for improvement.
HL7 interfaces between the Digisonics cardiovascular information system and Moffitt Cancer Center's EMR will create a fully electronic and efficient workflow. PDF export will send a PDF copy of finalized reports to the facility's EMR, preserving the original formatting of the structured report. Digisonics' newest application, DigiConnect, will enable the facility to launch any 3rd party systems (such as EMR/HIS, PACS or ECG management software) directly from the Digisonics cardiovascular information system workstation. Moffitt Cancer Center's users will benefit from the convenience of a single sign-on as user credentials and patient information are passed directly to the 3rd party systems. DICOM Modality Worklist will automate transfer of patient demographics to the facility's imaging modalities, creating a list of scheduled patient studies and significantly reducing manual data entry time. The result is a seamless cardiovascular reporting workflow with improved efficiency, accuracy and turnaround times.
