Millennial Mom’s Spotlight on Female-Founded Brands for Women’s Equality Day:

Cuvee Beauty

Cuvee Beauty is a champagne-infused haircare line that was started by entrepreneur Rachel Katzman. She spent years working with chemists to create the perfect skincare-grade formula for hair and scalp health. Cuvee Beauty’s shampoo and conditioner are clinically proven to make hair two times stronger, four times smoother and have 50 percent less breakage. All products are made using their proprietary Cuvee Complex, which includes champagne extracts, pea protein, white truffle extract and other skincare-grade ingredients. Their latest product, the Essential Booster, has hyaluronic acid and vitamin B so it’s like an ultra-hydrating face serum, but for hair.

NannoPad

NannoPad is a menstrual pad infused with Nannogenic technology that may help relieve menstrual cramps naturally with no drugs or medication. It’s proven to be effective by over 75 percent of women in user testing. The brand was developed by millennial women who are committed to bringing a change to women’s health and the feminine care industry. NannoPads are super absorbent, all-natural, hypoallergenic and made with 100 percent organic cotton, making them really comfortable.

Beach Now

Beach Now is a brilliant company that takes all the hassle out of going to the beach. It was founded by Venice Beach resident Alexandria Yalj. Everyone knows the worst part about a day at the beach is lugging all the cumbersome beach gear through the sand and setting it up. Beach Now does everything for beach-goers. They provide high-end beach loungers, towels, umbrellas, games, sunscreen, a cooler packed with cold waters and fresh fruit, and so much more. They’ll even deliver food from local restaurants right to your chair. Just show up and Beach Now does the rest. They currently serve Venice Beach but will travel from the South Bay to Malibu for private events.

SLMD

SLMD is a skincare system that was developed by dermatologist Dr. Sandra Lee. She is best-known as “Dr. Pimple Popper” to her millions of internet fans and she has developed SLMD Skincare to bridge the gap between a pricey doctor’s visit and a trip down the skincare aisle by providing safe and effective solutions that she would actually prescribe to her own patients. The line is based on scientifically proven, acne-fighting ingredients that are simple, easy to use and offered at an accessible price point.

NICOLE ALEX

NICOLE ALEX is a line of luxurious leisure basics for women that was founded by designer Nicole Zabal.
