McMillin Realty Hosts Semi-Annual Leadership Symposium

The symposium is a semi-annual event held by McMillin to recognize their top-performing agents and express gratitude for their hard work and dedication in the industry.

In early August, McMillin Realty hosted a Leadership Symposium at Stone Brewery in Liberty Station. The symposium is a semi-annual event held by McMillin to recognize their top-performing agents and express gratitude for their hard work and dedication in the industry. Agents were invited to listen to McMillin executives Sandy Perlatti and Kim Elliot discuss their plans for Liberty Station and the Corky McMillin Companies founder Corky McMillin's vision for the development.

"The Leadership Symposium gives us a chance to acknowledge, reward, and thank our top 25 agents," said Isabel Hall, Vice President of McMillin Realty, "This is an important and fun event we put on for our top producers, who lead by example for all of our agents. These are the agents who represent McMillin in the community and exhibit what our great company is about."

Elliot, Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Entitlements, worked closely on the Liberty Station development and currently oversees the final phases of the mixed-use redevelopment project. She discussed the trials and tribulations of bringing the Liberty Station project to life and the immense contributions of Corky McMillin's sons, Scott and Mark, to put a fitting capstone on their father's epic legacy. Additionally, Perlatti, who manages corporate communications and marketing for the company, addressed the history of Liberty Station and its former use as the Naval Training Center.

Scott McMillin started the Leadership Symposium in 2011 as a way to honor and inspire top producers, whom he considers the leaders of his company. He wanted to continue his father's great legacy of strong leadership while emphasizing the importance of bettering the local community. Thus, the symposium gives top producers from McMillin the opportunity to connect with many major community leaders. Past speakers include District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis and Chula Vista Police Chief David Bejarano. The Leadership Symposium is an informal setting for local leaders to discuss their experiences with leadership, including their personal stories on how they got to a position of prominence, and how they continue to achieve success through their role as a community leader.

McMillin Realty, serving San Diego's South County, Downtown/Metro, and Coastal Communities, has operated as a San Diego real estate brokerage for over 50 years.
