McMillin Realty Welcomes Andrew Valencia

Online, June 30, 2014 (Newswire.com) - McMillin Realty is proud to welcome rising-star agent Andrew Valencia to its team of realtors. Valencia is a graduate of McMillin Realty's new agent training program, McMillin U, and is poised to excel in the industry. Piggy-backing off of his educational experience, Valencia is ready to help clients make the best real estate decisions possible.

"I was born and raised in San Diego so I know the county like the back of my hand," stated Valencia, "Growing up, I had family from Bonita to Rancho Santa Fe so I know all parts of the county, including many properties and their histories." Valencia specializes in relocation and resale and has a deep passion for real estate, which often inspires his clients to find the process fun and engaging.

Although Valencia is relatively fresh to the industry, he has a wealth of understanding from his McMillin U training. "The best part about the experience was having an agent mentor to help me through my first few transactions," he continued, "No two transactions are the same, so it was nice to have guidance and support as I became more experienced." Part of Valencia's education included learning and understanding the many contracts agents need to close deals. "We were taught not to 'cut and paste' and send but rather to thoroughly understand the contract, customize it for each client, and make sure that we are doing the right thing to cover them legally."

All of the hard work has paid off for Valencia. He is currently on pace to finish the year with a sales volume of $5 Million. "I have been marketing to my spheres of influence and then figuring out the funnels of business to best target those spheres. So far I have had great success."

Valencia had several key reasons for joining McMillin Realty, citing the company's established roots in San Diego. "With over 50 years of experience they have built a reputation as being the industry leader," added Valencia, "As developers of many communities, McMillin is tied to the developments and knows the areas. As a result of our ties to a developer, McMillin agents are afforded opportunities that standard brokerage agents may not have." He also had a much more personal reason. At the annual EVENING WITH THE STARS on September 20th, 1990, Corky McMillin, founder of the Corky McMillin Companies and McMillin Realty, told Valencia he wanted him to work for the Corky McMillin Companies. Valencia is now part of Corky's team 24 years later.

Holding true to McMillin Realty's community roots, Valencia and his family have been active sponsors of the Family Health Centers of San Diego since the 70s. These health service centers offer high-quality, affordable healthcare to low-income, uninsured, and underserved individuals.
