Frank Gonzalez, CPA/CFF, has been named Managing Principal of the Miami office of nationally recognized accounting firm MBAF, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Tony Argiz, Chairman and CEO of MBAF.

As Managing Principal of the Miami office, Gonzalez will have full oversight of operations of the firm’s headquarters located in the 1450 Brickell building in downtown Miami. Gonzalez will also continue to serve as principal-in-charge of the firm’s Audit Department across all offices, where he oversees the execution of processes and quality control, maintaining the department's standards and ensuring the use of best practices among his team. He also leads the firm’s Financial Institutions and SEC practices.

“Frank is a vital member of MBAF’s leadership team, and since joining us in 2002 he has established himself as a respected leader within the firm and in the local community,” said Argiz. “This achievement is a testament to Frank’s hard work and dedication, and I look forward to the many continued successes he will share in and out of the firm.”

Additionally, he will play an expanded role in the firm’s philanthropic efforts, elevating his involvement within the local community. An integral part of the firm’s corporate culture, MBAF contributed more than $1.4 million to nonprofit organizations in the last year alone.

Actively involved in advancing the accounting profession, Gonzalez serves as a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs; advisory board member of the Cuban-American CPAs; and is a board member and past president of the South Florida Banking Institute.
