New York City, NY, April 20, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Uconn running back Max DeLorenzo can quite simply be described as a jack of all trades. NFL Scouts have been very impressed with the versatility of the former Husky. As a 5'11" and 216 pound running back, Max has the build of an NFL back. His vast array of skills would make an asset to any team in the league. After running 4.55 in the 40, a 4.2 shuttle, and displaying great skills in drills, max is rising up the charts.
It is difficult to find a running back who is willing to stand in the pocket and block for the quarterback. Not only is DeLorenzo willing to do this, he excels at it. DeLorenzo is physical and plays with a high football IQ which allows him to recognize his blocking assignments and execute with perfection. This past season as a Senior, DeLorenzo was often used also as a fullback, which allowed him to develop as a run blocker as well. Max's highlights show one of the most diverse backs in the draft. He can run, catch, block and play multiple running back positions.
"Diverse skill set, top tier speed for his size and explosive playmaking skills, defines Max completely. He will get signed, make a team, and be a very valuable contributor as a running back, fullback, slot and special teams player."

Max DeLorenzo also possess great hands out of the backfield, which he put on display at his pro day. He ran incredible routes and did not drop a single pass thrown his way. This adds even more value to his game as he could be used in the slot or out of the backfield on third down situations. As a rusher DeLorenzo is very accomplished as well. He was able to average just under four yards per carry during his Sophomore and Junior season, during which he was used as a full time running back.
Max also played an extensive role on special teams throughout his career.
