Marie Osmond Seen Wearing Metals & Pieces' 'Wings of Fire Necklace' on Lifetime's 'The Road Home for Christmas'

Melissa Pikul, designer/owner of Metals & Pieces (https://www.metalsandpieces.com) of Florida, New York, has had her "Wings of Fire Necklace" worn by character Cassie (Marie Osmond) on the Lifetime movie "The Road Home for Christmas". The movie premiered on Oct. 26, 2019.

"The Road Home for Christmas"

Melissa says that this was a complete surprise. “I had sent the necklace to Nancy Cannon, the costume designer, for consideration through a gifting with The Artisan Group for a different holiday movie, so seeing it show up here nearly knocked me over!”

“The Wings of Fire Necklace first premiered with my 2018 holiday collection, and I am ecstatic that this TV and celebrity feature will kick off the 2019 Frosted Forest collection.”

Metals & Pieces focuses on bringing arms and armor-inspired design to jewelry for the modern woman who wants to add some adventure to her wardrobe. “Metals & Pieces has three key design elements that appear throughout our collections," Melissa explains, "designs inspired by historical chain-maille armor, designs incorporating spent bullet casings, designs created with EMS and emergency services in mind. These serve as the pillars of Metals & Pieces creative standards."

All three themes work together to build the picture of a woman unafraid to take action and change the world, who is determined to make her voice heard, a woman who cannot easily be ignored. "This jewelry isn't for the delicate princess, but a queen capable of commanding the love, admiration and respect of her domain."

Though for all her tough attitude aesthetic, Melissa still loves Lifetime and Hallmark Holiday movies. “There’s a special magic to the simple plots, cute stories, and quaint locations —the kind of magic that pulls all the women in my life together for a few hours of couch snuggling and coffee that is savored instead of guzzled. And living in a small town in the Hudson Valley, it’s not impossible to imagine living in one of these movies.”

To add something extra to that small-town mystique this year, Metals & Pieces will host several Open Studio Days throughout the holiday season. Guests will have the chance to interact with Melissa's creations in person allowing them a chance to experience the strong, yet elegant, designs for themselves -- maybe even cross some items off their shopping lists with unique gifts that empower and inspire that special someone in their lives (maybe even themselves).

"I want my clients to remember that they have the power to be their own hero," Melissa explains. "And that like my designs, their goals and dreams are all within reach."

Open houses will take place from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 15, Dec. 6, Dec. 13, and Dec. 22.
