The company has been on a roll as of late, adding a number of innovative products to their range and recently introducing a brand new line of steam irons as well as a new series of kettle and toaster. The new range of steam irons includes three different variants - the Opti-Glide®, Opti-Steam® and Opti-Pro® - all with various features and functions.
All steam irons of the collection feature an ultra-durable Cera-Silk® ceramic soleplate specifically engineered to glide easily across fabric for effortless ironing. Standard across the range is also a useful vertical steam function, anti-drip and anti-calc feature. The Westinghouse Steam irons are designed to make it more convenient for the user. As such, all models have the capacity to self-clean with a single push of a button. This allows the steam iron to flush out residue from the water tank in order to prevent spotting on garments.
Opti-Glide®, the entry-level product, comes with an 85 g/min shot of steam, 260 ml water tank capacity and 2200 Watt heating element. Meanwhile, the Opti-Steam® variant has a larger 300 ml water tank and added auto-off function. This function is designed to automatically switch off the iron if left unmoved or in a horizontal position for at least thirty seconds, thus cutting off the power connected to the heating element. Once the iron is moved again, the power will turn on and heat the iron to the desired temperature. This makes it safer for the user when the iron is not in active use. The Opti-Pro® is the top of the range model with 2400 Watt heating element, auto-off function plus 130 g/min shot of steam and 400 ml water tank capacity.
