Makeblock Showcases on Hongkong Electronics Fair Autumn Edition 2015

Representing one of the creative electronic companies from Mainland, Makeblock is invited to take part in 35th Hongkong Electronics Fair Autumn Edition 2015, held by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), some new gizmos like Wall.E, Johnny Five, and Mini XY Plotter show up first time.

Makeblock is an Arduino open-source robot building platform to provide mechanical parts, electronic modules as well as software. Though the main stream market is overseas, Makeblock starts to explore the potential of domestic market. Cooperating with national maker spaces to hold some competitors like Ultimate robot kit building campaign is one of the option, the other is to show up on different big exhibitions. It’s not only a better way to build branding awareness, but also provide a channel for users to communicate directly.

More than 4,100 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions are expected at the Electronics Fair and electronic Asia, forming the world’s largest electronics marketplace. The Electronics Fair will welcome new exhibitors from Poland, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Some new products like Johnny Five, which is the first cooperative project with Intel Edison, draws much attention on Maker Faire New York 2015 and this fair. It can walk, talk and even communicate with visitors.

Classic robot like XY plotter, which is customized into mini version, is modified into a picture clone machine. Visitors can draw anything on white paper, a camera will scan it to be processed by software, then outline the picture to laser on wood automatically. The whole procedure only takes 2-5 minutes. That’s the hottest robot in this fair, everyone loves it!

What’s more, mBot, as the biggest surprise, will hold some mini workshops on site. Some interesting games like playing soccer, balloon fighting, line-following, wall avoidance, racing and more. As the best-seller on Maker Faire New York 2015, mBot will bring more than a programmable car to kids.
