LightScalpel is Now Available in Canada
BOTHELL, Wash., September 7, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Today, LightScalpel LLC is happy to announce it has received a medical device license from Health Canada and is now taking orders on its laser systems and laser accessories in Canada. The LightScalpel CO2 Laser was FDA cleared in 2012 and has since become one of the leading CO2 surgical lasers on the American market. The LightScalpel laser continues the Luxar’s tradition of utilizing durable all-metal CO2 laser tubes and proprietary flexible fiber delivery system with the latest advances, including disposable-free laser handpieces, programmable custom settings and more.
The LightScalpel laser offers the most advanced and ergonomic delivery system for surgical CO2 lasers – a hollow waveguide (flexible fiber). Competing CO2 laser systems have cumbersome jointed-metal articulated arm delivery systems. Another advantage of the LightScalpel laser over competing CO2 laser systems is its short tip-to-tissue distance; the LightScalpel laser is held only 1-3 mm away from the tissue (allowing for great accuracy) while competing laser systems are held 25 to 40 mm away from the target tissue.
