Large New Co-Working Development Opens in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio, February 12, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Versa, the newest shared office workspace in Columbus, opened mid-last month to offer the next level of the co-working experience. Versa’s new location is now open at 1201 Dublin Road, offering 37,000 square feet of dedicated shared office space.

In addition to being larger than most co-working spaces that opened in the past year, Versa’s office space was thoughtfully planned and designed to appeal to the needs of up-and-coming businesses of today.

Real estate brokers are seeing greater demand than ever before for co-working space that offers flexibility and creative environments. Small business employees find that shared office spaces are more compatible to their work style than coffee shops, and larger corporations can expand as needed for temporary projects or new markets without increasing their liability with a long-term lease elsewhere.

People are changing the way they work, as the couple behind Versa found in their research. April Zimmerman Katz, owner of real estate and property-management company The Zimmerman Companies, was the brains and experience behind the newer model of co-working that Versa provides. She and her husband Kyle Katz, Versa’s real estate developer, collaborated on this new venture because “we wanted to do something on a bigger scale,” Kyle Katz said. “Not just in size but in programs, where there could be shared knowledge and a sense of community. We wanted a product that could compete in any market.”

The most significant difference with Versa is size. In addition to the 37,000 square feet of available space, the Dublin Road location can also acquire another floor with 10,000 square feet to accommodate demand, if needed. The offices are all furnished and vary in size to accommodate up to 12 people, and each space has its own personality. “We’re working with a lot of local talent to create them. We have touched every space, including the restrooms,” April Katz said.

Versa works on a monthly membership style, which starts at $99 per month for small businesses and independent contractors. Should a business need a private office, the monthly fee starts at $799. All memberships include internet and Wi-Fi, concierge services, mail handling and access to the printer/copy machines and in-house cafe, which also includes free beverages.

Two more Versa co-working offices will be opening in summer 2018 at 305 W. Nationwide Boulevard and then later at 3450 Indianola Avenue.
